In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also brings the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
